Capalaba Produce, Chandler

I stumbled upon this delightful spot thanks to a friend in my mother’s group. When I asked, “Where can I take my son to see baby chickens on Easter?” she excitedly replied, “Capalaba Produce!” I had no idea this gem existed, and my former child-free self could never have imagined the joy it would bring my little family.
Capalaba Produce is a charming place where you can buy pet food and spend quality time with some adorable farm animals. Even though we don’t have any pets ourselves, we had a wonderful time interacting with the animals.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Polly and Percy, the friendly household llamas, after passing a giant tractor. As we explored, we encountered a variety of animals, including chickens, goats, pigs, birds, and miniature ponies. There’s even a café on-site, though it was unfortunately closed during my visit due to the long weekend. Still, just seeing the animals was more than enough to make our day special.
After our animal adventure, we headed into the barn to see the talking birds and baby chickens. We almost made an impulsive purchase of a stunning rainbow Gouldian Finch but decided to think twice about the 5–6-year commitment!
