PCYC, Carindale

I heard about PCYC Carindale through another mum at a local playgroup, and since it’s in my neighbourhood, I had to check it out. I’ve driven past this centre so many times without knowing what it offered, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that PCYC hosts various programs starting from preschool age. We were particularly interested in the Little and Active program, specifically the Little Munchkins class for ages 18 months to 2.5 years. The session began with free play, followed by group activities like bubbles, songs, and parachute games, and wrapped up with more free play and a cute farewell stamp or sticker. It was adorable!

Unlike other programs that run on terms, this one operates on a rolling commitment, with direct debit set up two weeks in advance. The session felt much more open-ended compared to My First Gym, and my son loved having a larger space to roam around. While both programs have an athletics focus, they offer very different vibes—this one felt more casual and community-oriented. PCYC has several locations around town, to find your local PCYC, check out their website.
