Chipmunks Playland & Café, Loganholme

I recently found myself visiting two separate Chipmunks Playland & Cafés—thanks to a little mix-up with Google Maps! First, I stopped by the MacGregor location, and months later, I ended up at the Chipmunks in Loganholme. Although I didn’t set out to compare the two, I’m glad I did. My experiences highlight how franchise-style indoor play centres can vary significantly from one location to another, even when they share the same name!

At the beginning of my Ants Pants journey, I was quite content with the offering at the MacGregor venue. However, as I explored its competitors, I quickly realised what truly defines a great venue. The two locations felt like chalk and cheese: one is expansive and cold, set in a mega industrial shed with less-than-ideal lighting that compromises the play zones, while the other is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed.

Without a doubt, Loganholme is my favourite of the two—it just has a better vibe that makes you want to linger longer! For those interested, most of the photos in this post are from the Loganholme location, unless otherwise labelled as MacGregor but the good news is, I’ve also heard that Everton Park is brand new and fantastic!
