Inflatable World, Victoria Point

Recently, I decided to visit Inflatable World in Victoria Point, after a fantastic experience at their Kambah location in Canberra a few months back. This was my fourth attempt to get into an Inflatable World in Queensland, and let me tell you, it was quite the journey getting there! My first two attempts were at the Wynnum location—once, I arrived too early and the timing clashed with my day ahead, and the second time, the place was closed to the public for a sporting tournament. My third attempt was at the Springwood location, only to find out they’re only open on weekends. Determined not to be defeated, I set my sights on Victoria Point and finally made it on my fourth try! We arrived bright and early on a Saturday, hoping to capture the experience before the “crowd” poured in. I was a little taken aback by the entry costs: $17 for adults and $10 for children under 5, totalling $27 for the two of us. There might be more affordable options out there, but I was curious to see if the experience would be worth it.
Unlike other indoor centres that feature a jumping castle or two, Inflatable World is entirely dedicated to bouncing, making it a unique experience. And, of course, my son was stoked to be there. The under-fives play area was an instant hit for him; his word of the day was "Weee!" as he bounced around, giggling and tumbling like a rag doll. It was the first time I’d seen him work up a sweat, at an indoor play centre! I appreciated that the play area was age-appropriate and safe for my 2-year-old. However, if your little one is under 18 months old, you might want to consider other alternatives like Lollipops or Area 51, which cater more to younger bubs.
Now, while my son was having the time of his life, I couldn't help but notice a few things. Being pregnant at the time, there wasn’t much jumping around for me, so I spent my time observing. One thing that stood out was the giant fans stationed around the space. To me, that’s always a bit of a red flag because it means there’s no air conditioning. By 9:30 am, the staff were already sweating, and after a while, it started feeling stuffy. I originally planned to stay for two hours, but after 30-45 minutes, I was ready to call it a day. Still, my son was so engaged and happy that we ended up staying for an hour and a half. The things you do for love! All in all, I'm glad I finally got to experience it. However, if I were to do it again, I’d probably go to a different location or save this adventure for the cooler winter months when the lack of air conditioning isn’t as noticeable.
