Raby Bay Foreshore Park, Cleveland

This weekend adventure at Raby Bay Foreshore Park was a bit spontaneous, inspired by a recommendation from a fellow mum at the Redlands Integrated Early Years Place playgroup. She always has great suggestions, so I was excited to check it out. Raby Bay in Cleveland is perfect for kids, offering a genuine calm beach vibe. Its proximity to Brisbane has made it one of my top three favourite places to soak up the sunshine. We initially visited on a Saturday, and the atmosphere was fantastic! Many people had set up tents on the grass and brought CoolCabanas for the sand. Although we were just passing through, I can’t wait to return with a proper beach setup for a fun morning.

The sand was lovely, and there were plenty of little beach coves along the foreshore I’m yet to explore. There’s a nearby park and a convenient toilet block, though I only spotted one main park bench. Before having kids, I used to frequent beaches regularly, but now a drive of more than 45 minutes on my own makes me think twice about my energy levels. Raby Bay Foreshore feels like a perfect beach day without the long drive, and that concept genuinely excites me!
