Wow! Newmarket Pool is, without a doubt, one of the best pool facilities in Brisbane. There’s not just one kids’ pool; there are two, and one of them has a cave and three slides?! There’s also an older kids' mega slide and a bucket water park area on site; however, both of these zones weren’t operational during my first visit (which was on a weekday). On my second visit (on a weekend), both were working fine. To avoid disappointment, you might want to call in advance to ensure the slide and water features are operational. If the toddler’s pools and unique water features weren’t already exceeding my expectations, there is also a pirate ship playground!

On my initial visit, I wasn’t able to get a good grasp on the quality of the all-important hot food situation, but on my second visit, I realised you need to actively seek out the menu. The hot food menu is somewhat understated, so you might want to pack some fruit salad to accompany your hot chips! If you haven’t been here already, make sure you add it to your to-do list.
