The Nurso, Chandler

It had been quite a while since I last visited The Nurso, but I decided to return after hearing about some exciting changes. On my previous visit, I noticed they hosted various community events, so I thought I'd try the kids’ Nature Play for something different. The Nurso has done an excellent job addressing the need for child-friendly cafes, cleverly enticing families to visit the nursery and buy plants. I pre-booked the session online the night before, eager to check out the Nature Play. I was pleasantly surprised to find it hosted under a chic white marquee reminiscent of a wedding! The session was buzzing with preschoolers, despite my photos suggesting otherwise. There were so many engaging setups for the kids to explore, from nature-inspired stations, a wooden boat, miniature gardening tools, coloured water, and my son’s favourite—the mud kitchen!

With plenty of seating available for parents, I ordered a Chai Latte and relaxed as I watched my son thrive in the creative and inspiring environment. The best part is that most of the designated play areas are undercover, making it a great option for various weather conditions. I can only imagine that visiting on a sunny day would enhance the experience even more! Tasteful music played softly in the background, and the animals were just across from the marquee, allowing the kids to leave the Nature Play area and engage with them whenever they pleased. While the number of animals had reduced since my last visit, we were delighted to see the llamas, chickens, and ducks still around.

We had such a wonderful time that I’ve already raved about it to at least three other mums within 24 hours! I wanted to flag however that I’ve noticed over time the days offered for the Nature Play at The Nurso frequently change, so it’s worth checking their website for the latest updates. I hope your experience is just as positive!
