Ascot Playground, Ascot

With so many parks in Brisbane, I’ve consciously decided not to try to explore them all. That list would never end, and there would be some thorns among the roses.
What makes a park enjoyable for everyone is subjective, but I love a space that’s age-appropriate for my son, features soft flooring instead of tanbark, and, most importantly, is fully fenced. If I come across all three, it feels like hitting the jackpot! That’s exactly how I felt when I first discovered Ascot Playground.
It’s no surprise that this beautiful area made a lasting impression on me. I think it’s officially one of my favourite parks in Brisbane for infants and toddlers. What I adore about this little haven is the unique play structure featuring charming cubby houses. The fully fenced layout instantly brings peace of mind, and the on-site toilets include a changing table—such a thoughtful touch!
The cubby houses are small enough to let toddlers roam freely, allowing parents to relax without needing to weave through the playground themselves. This makes it an ideal spot for families with multiple kids.
With ample shade, you won’t need to “shotgun” for a good spot. It’s a wonderful place to spend time, and I’ve enjoyed visiting on various occasions.
