Pandanus Beach, Wynnum

Pandanus Beach is a hidden gem nestled in Wynnum that I believe is somewhat underrated.
I especially love visiting during low tide—it's so much fun watching my son toddle between the natural tidal pools and the sandy shore. The surrounding pandanus trees provide a lovely spot to lay down a towel, perfect for playing with some beach toys and enjoying a few snacks. I recommend making a whole morning out of it if you can! You can count on seeing plenty of dogs passing by, so if your kids are dog lovers, they might just get a few pats.
Every time I make the effort to come here, I find myself wondering, “Why don’t I do this more often?” Beach play is a truly precious experience in a city like Brisbane, where options can be limited. Something is revitalising about being close to the water, and I can guarantee your little one will be completely zonked afterwards—yay for long naps if they’re still in that stage!
Pandanus Beach is conveniently located right behind the Whale Park Wynnum and just a short walk from the Wynnum Wading Pool. So when you’re done enjoying the beach or simply want to wash off the sand, you can easily head over to either spot without getting your car all sandy.
If you haven’t yet embraced this charming beach, it might just be worth a visit!
