Southbank Parklands, South Brisbane

Southbank Parklands is one of the reasons my husband and I moved to Brisbane—we love it! It always feels like quite an effort to get there, but once you settle into your spot, it’s worth it, especially if the weather is on-point that day. Parking can be a bit troublesome. I always park via the Tribune Street entrance, which is near the Emporium Hotel. While this parking option, directly underneath the parklands, is expensive, I personally think the convenience is worth it. There are so many different zones to enjoy with little ones. The water feature play area is great fun, but my ultimate favourite spot is the Lagoon, where the sand meets the water. You’re also not far from great parks and plenty of casual eateries, so there’s something for everyone.
