Yeronga Park Swimming Complex, Yeronga

The Yeronga Park Swimming Complex is a family-friendly oasis with Balinese vibes! As you enter the pool, immediately to the right, you see a delightful canteen that sells hot food! Right across from that, there are undercover tables and chairs on a gorgeous thatched-roof deck. The seating area would be a lovely place to work remotely! There is a Kids Club available onsite, so you can put your feet up and sip a cold Coke on the sunbeds while your little ones have some fun. At the time of my visit, the Kids Club attendance was just $6. That’s right—$6! What’s the catch? I thought you must have to book your child in advance. No! I called to verify, but as it turns out, they roster staff at the Kids Club daily, so you’ll always be covered if you visit the pool during the designated times.

If you weren’t already sold on the Kids Club, another great aspect is the expansive astroturf zone, which has ample tables and chairs near some open grass where the kids can kick a ball and run around. Each pool I’ve discovered during my travels has its unique features, but this one truly is fantastic and ticks all the boxes for me! Bali vibes, astroturf with an open grass area, water features, sunbeds, an adult lap pool, and a canteen that sells nuggets and chips! Plus, it’s the only Council Pool I’ve come across that offers the Kids Club, which is pretty incredible. So, Yeronga Park Swimming Complex is worth bookmarking, in my opinion. I can’t wait to go back!
